Last month I started painting again. And it's kind of a big deal for me. I haven't painted anything - or hardly even drawn anything - in around seven years. It's something I used to do all the time. Creating art was the one thing that really made me happy. Somewhere in the last 20 years of doing professional design (mostly website design), I lost my way. I don't have anyone to blame that on but myself.
After designing more than 400 websites in the last two decades, something hit me like a truck recently: Websites don't last. They just don't. Around three years after one is launched (if you're lucky), it gets redesigned or the company changes
